Atlas Copco Compressors Inc. was formed in 1980 after purchasing the U.S. assets of Worthington Compressor, Inc. This acquisition gave Atlas Copco the capability to produce compressors in the United Sates. Atlas Copco Compressors Inc. currently produces a wide range of industrial and portable compressors, generators and accessory equipment. Regional offices, compressor centers, and service technicians are located throughout the United States; as is a vast distributor network with factory trained staff.
 
Edmac Compressor Company is the exclusive distributor for Atlas Copco Compressors in North and South Carolina.  This partnership was formed in 1982, and Edmac is now one of the leading U.S. Distributors for Atlas Copco Compressors providing sales, repair service, and rentals out of 7 locations in the Carolinas.
